Fellow sojourners,

Merry Christmas! Great Joy! A special season of expressing love through giving to others. We at Compassionate Ministries-PPS traditionally at Christmas time provide a dinner and a $25 gift card to the men who reside at Compassionate Ministries-HELPS (aka Luke’s House). Currently we have 11 guys living at our men’s home, hence we are full.

We are asking folks to prayerfully consider sponsoring one or more of our guys so we can provide the $25 Wal-mart gift cards this year. It is a big deal for most of the guys to get this gift and we want to follow through with our tradition of practically loving them in this way.

Week after week we present the gospel to these men and most are grateful and others are resistant. However, our goal is to stay consistent and pray that our sovereign God draws each of them to Himself. Therein is lasting joy way beyond any immediate material gift. Moreover, they hear and some have received the ultimate gift of forgiveness through our Lord Jesus. We continue to value much your prayers for our efforts to reach out to the poor and disabled. Our desire is to always be lead by the Spirit and demonstrate God’s love in all we do and say.
