Friday Morning Prayer:)… May 19, 2022

May 20, 2022 - 2 minutes read

Are you hurting and broken within?
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin?
Jesus is calling
Have you come to the end of yourself
Do you thirst for a drink from the well?
Jesus is calling

O come to the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ
Leave behind your regrets and mistakes
Come today, there’s no reason to wait
Jesus is calling

Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy
From the ashes, a new life is born
Jesus is calling (oh, oh)…
Oh, what a Savior
Isn’t He wonderful?
Sing Hallelujah, Christ is risen
Bow down before Him
For He is Lord of all
Sing Hallelujah, Christ is risen…  come to the altar lyrics – Google Search

“Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.”  Yes, Lord.  We echo with the Psalmist, “I said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”  And! “As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.”  Psalm 16:1-3

I appreciate the genuine worship and the gospel lyrics reflecting our most gracious compassionate God.  Indeed, the God of all comfort.  The Psalm, precious truth.  God is our refuge,  all the time!  The saints!  You, brother, sister, we are family in Christ!  Saints, glorious ones in Christ, who find delight in one another.  Amazing supernatural truth reflected in the regenerate heart through the power of our indwelling God.  From glory to glory… we pursue with joy!  Yes!  Thank you, Lord.
