“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”[2]

Family in Christ,
Meet with the living God… an encounter with God! Powerful, meaningful, life changing transforming power! Power to work out my salvation with fear and trembling! Truly, living by the power of God, our indwelling God manifest through sacrificial love, strength through humility, the manifestation of a Spirit filled life in every context! O God, I cry out in prayer, through worship, desperate to be filled to overflowing constantly as I truly experience our gracious God. I need Thee O I need Thee every hour.
I can’t live this life very well! This life in Christ is difficult, especially as I leisure through in my own strength! NO! The power of the Holy Spirit can! I must have this supernatural power! You too! Therefore, may I intentionally pursue with undivided attention what I read recently, “You must go to God and cry out for greater and greater manifestations of his power in your life to carry out the task that he has given you. You must have that. You must go to him. It is an encounter with God.”[3]
Like the holy prophets of old, the Apostles, and generations of disciples, we need God’s help to carry out his calling on each of our lives. Ultimately to glorify our God through our lives because of his life-changing power! How encouraging it is that God is willing to do mighty things through unworthy jars of clay. Broken vessels made righteous through the cross, the redeeming blood of the Lamb! “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”[4]
Beloved, wherever you are in this Christ life journey, you need the power of God. I desperately do too! We know this is not a one-time empowering, we are in need of constant Holy Spirit power to help us persevere through every circumstance. Therefore, cry out all the time! “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.”[5] Know too, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.”[6]
