We need your ongoing prayers to ensure the strength, wisdom, perseverance for all involved in supporting this ministry to our youth in Alpine. As you know the AYC is under the leadership of a board of directors represented by devoted Christians who care about Alpine and our surrounding communities. Our goal is to continue transparency, be good stewards of what our gracious God has entrusted us, and network, build solid relationships with our local churches and folks in the community.
The changes/upgrades we want to make to AYC are healthy and necessary. However, funds are very tight, our monthly income to keep essentials paid has decreased over the past few months. Therefore, our budget to do upgrades has drastically changed as well. As you know, we are a 501c(3) non-profit, and we truly rely on the financial support of generous folks in our community. So, help us get the word out and may our God sustain, provide, and encourage many to prayerfully support this long term process.
As we upgrade and get passed “makeover” enhancement mode, we will be inviting folks to come for an open house. Our expectation is to inform our community, especially the local body of Christ represented through various gospel centered churches who we are, what we are doing to love youth, and our ongoing vision for the Alpine Youth Center. Please be in much prayer as this day approaches.
We are very thankful for our local churches who have consistently supported our efforts for years. The support from the body of Christ is essential, not only financial, but the many who volunteer and engage with the kids! Beautiful!
Most recently we changed the AYC hours to include Sunday afternoons. We noticed kids flocking to the youth center! A refuge to hang out after church for many, and others just seeking a safe place to hang out. Most excellent! Thank you Erik Molumby from Calvary Chapel for spending your Sunday afternoon loving the youth of Alpine! Also, Peter and Rebecca our faithful directors! Keep them in your prayers as they travel to Israel and return at the end of the month. We value our volunteers! Danny, Makela, Fred, Abbie, Kevin, Dan, Dean, Juan, just those I can recall and I know there are others who with selfless pursuit, love our youth. Thank you!
If you would like to get involved, represent your church, discuss utilizing the AYC for your youth group, Bible study, get in touch! We need you!
For those who want to support financially, but haven’t yet. We are looking for $100 a month “champions” to help cover basic monthly overhead and allow for more activities with the kids. Another idea presented was a one time “sponsor a yard or two of flooring” we have got about 2500 sq feet to flooring to cover. We need funds to cover this expense. Maybe you have resources or connections to help us enhance the AYC. Do not hesitate to let us know.
If you’d like to volunteer and help with our clean-up makeover we are starting today 4-17-17 from 2 to 6pm. Working to get things done over the next 10 -12 days. Come for an hour if you can… we will be preparing for paint, getting rid of items, organizing… send me an email with any questions or clarifications. or call 619 995 6239.
