We are His Hands and Feet to Serve Those in Need

This weekend, in the midst of the heavy rain God loved many in need through His children.

Why does it feel good to serve the poor and help to meet some of their basic needs?

Simply, yet profoundly because we are created in the image of God: to express love and compassion, to show mercy and generosity, all reflect the character of God. It is even more profound when we recognize that God calls each of us personally unto salvation through Jesus Christ.

As Christians we rely on our God to empower us and truly enable us to perceive others through His eyes, to reflect His Character. As God, the Holy Spirit, indwells us may His love and compassion increasingly be manifest through us in relationship with others, especially toward the poor and needy.
