Prayer and Financial Support, ending 2016
October 22, 2016 - 2 minutes readFellow Sojourner,
I am writing to ask for you ongoing prayers for our ministry serving the poor and disabled. As this 2016 year draws to an end please consider helping Compassionate Ministries PPS financially. We need ongoing prayer support for sure! Not as important, but necessary is ongoing financial support.
Monthly contributions help us practically love those having struggles with the basic necessities of living this life. For example, it is not uncommon for us to help folks with shoes, pants, shirts from Salvation Army thrift store or from a donation given thorough the body of Christ. Moreover, emergency food, or shelter, even a night at a motel on a cold rainy night.
Our goals have been consistent. We help the poor and disabled with money management. Intervention on a case by case basis for individuals struggling with domestic violence, or unemployment. Many times we provide folks with groceries until their next paycheck arrives.
Moreover, we need support to help us continue to provide for bus passes, vouchers for DMV, partial rent expense, a deposit, etc., Practical needs for CMPPS include office supplies, computer upgrade, office space expense.
Neither Heidi or myself take a salary. That would be nice, but not necessary at this point. As God leads, helps us through your prayers. If you have the means and sense this is a good work to the glory of God, send us a few bucks or prayerfully consider becoming a monthly contributor to keep things rolling smoothly.
If you have questions about our process, how we can help someone you know in need, or possibly encourage you, love you, pray with you… give a call or email.
Most Sincerely,
Randall Torres, President
