Grace… Oh I need Thy abundant Grace!

June 24, 2014 - 7 minutes read

Beloved In Christ,

Sitting here praying and seeking our gracious God. Oh, help me Lord to resist distractions… let that call go till later, avoid the lure of anything and everything pulling, devote time to pray, cry out for power, a supernatural filling, empowering of God the Holy Spirit!

How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul! Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty! Holy Holy Holy Merciful and Mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity! Just as I am Thou will receive, Will welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve, because Thy promise I believe, Oh Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Brothers and Sisters, thank you! for making time to pray, seek, and rest in the presence of our gracious God:). And, for allowing me to share and humbly attempt to encourage YOU through these weekly emails. “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have the full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great JOY and Encouragement, because you brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.” Philemon 6-7.

Loving may look different to different people but the result is the same: Love brings joy! Love encourages! Love refreshes! Yes! Love those around you, especially In Christ!

“To God’s elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout…who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and the sprinkling by his blood. Grace and peace be yours in abundance.” 1 Peter 1:1-2

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! You In Christ have been chosen by God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) to be holy, given the power to resist sinful ways, and keep moving toward even greater holiness. This process is the work of God the Holy Spirit. What do I have to do? Cry out! I need to walk in obedience! I seem to fail at every turn. Therefore, I need brothers to help and love me along the way! I need the Living Word in my heart, I need to feed on Scripture, resist temptation through the power of the Word! Build a foundation and keep building! Pray, Pray, Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit!

“See to it, brothers [sisters], that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But ENCOURAGE one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” Hebrews 3:12-13.

“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24.

My brother called me tonight I am glad I didn’t resist the distraction. He said, “Okay, are we saved by grace or works?” “My wife said we are not Christians because we don’t live the life or do things Christians do.” It was a great opportunity to love him…maybe not as graciously as I would have with someone who wasn’t my twin brother. I sorta drilled him for not knowing this basic truth, especially as it relates to his salvation, of greater worth than gold! I apologize. Humble is a choice to be lived out even with twin brothers!:).

Peter says, “In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade- kept in heaven for you… 1 Peter 1:3b-4. Yes! “NEW BIRTH” Supernatural transformation! A new creation! Different desires! And, yes a life style that reflects the glory of God through us, even broken vessels. How important I/we understand and have the patience to explain God’s mercy and grace resulting in salvation, redemption, forgiveness of sins! A gift for all who will genuinely believe and put their trust in Jesus:). Praise God! We are made right with God through the CROSS, “Nothing but the blood” shed for the sins of mankind. Moreover, the RESULT of a genuinely transformed heart is a CHANGED LIFE that desires God and craves, hungers, an insatiable thirst for supernatural holiness!

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14.

“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an INEXPRESSIBLE and GLORIOUS JOY, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” Hebrews 1:8-9.

And, we pray together! In obedience, but not a burden, for we are empowered by God and can’t help but to overflow to those around us!

Overflow!

O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
Christ the Lord

We’ll give You all the glory
We’ll give You all the glory
We’ll give You all the glory
Christ the Lord

LoVe YOU much!
