God’s Grace: Balboa Park Outreach

March 29, 2011 - 2 minutes read

Thank you! If you participated in our Saturday March 26th outreach by praying, giving, or volunteering, Thank you! This quarter was over double the attendance we usually have. I so much appreciate my brothers and sisters at Mt. View Bible Church who quarter after quarter give clothing, volunteer their time, and joyfully serve the poor. I have to mention the generous supporters who would rather not be named. Thanks to God’s grace through them we gave out 100 sleeping bags, hygiene kits, backpacks, probably 200 tarps, etc., Moreover, I appreciate the volunteer who helped to network with Dreams for Change and San Diego Youth Services to offer additional support services for those in need.

Most importantly was the opportunity to bring the message of Good News! We proclaimed God’s GRACE and encouraged all to come to the Lord by faith. Folks were attentive. Pastor Jon and others encouraged and prayed with many. We actually set up a canopy and chairs for folks to come and pray and find comfort from our gracious and loving God through His people.

We are indeed the voice, hands, feet, eyes, of Jesus living through us. In fact, Paul writes the truth for all who will humbly come and trust God through Jesus Christ, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Gal 2:20-21.

May God continue to use us as He pleases. May we strive to hear His voice and be lead by the Holy Spirit. May many come to Christ through our efforts to meet the needs of the poor and homeless. Finally, to God be the glory for all that is done in the Name of Jesus Christ!

We are praying, praying, praying, then planning and gathering basic necessities for the poor and homeless for our next outreach in June 2011. Please pray with us and network by telling someone about what God does through us every quarter.

By the grace of God we go,

By His Power alone,

Randall
