September 4, 2014 - 8 minutes readFaithful In Christ,
“Trust the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart”.
Psalm 37:3-4
Brothers are meeting at Grace Fellowship. 2301 S. Grade. Alpine. 0730. YOU are invited to join us for an hour of prayer and worship. WE intentionally pray for the body of Christ: Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Worship leaders, etc. all those who serve and help equip the body of Christ. Thank you!
Sisters are meeting at First Baptist. 1912 Arnold Way. Alpine. 0900. I just got confirmation that the prayer meeting is resuming to EVERY WEEK. We will continue to announce and enjoy the excitement of women’s prayer! That’s right! :).
Prayer: our foundation of all we do in this life….persevering prayer! A demonstration of our reliance on our sovereign God. Come and pray with us if you have a Friday morning free for an hour or so…. We pray for Alpine and the surrounding communities. Our constant plea is for mercy and overwhelming grace for those without Christ. Moreover, use us Lord we pray… make me more sensitive to your leading and help me my God to really care about those lost and in need of salvation. Amen.
How easy it is to go day after day and not care about the lost. Our lives are so busy and heck I got my own circle of responsibility and things I have to take care of…. NO! Break my heart for those spiritually dead in their sin around me… take me out of my comfort zone… Lord, prompt me and may I have spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see those you are calling to Yourself, and want to use me to orchestrate your glorious transforming salvation:). Yes! Forgive me Lord for my complacency.
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” v. 5-6
Brothers and Sisters,
Where ever you are in your journey with Christ, I sincerely pray you are experiencing the joy and excitement of walking, talking, praying without ceasing, worshiping, just supernaturally experiencing our God all the time! If not, we have to get together and pray, praise, love, and encourage one another… come on now!
I took mornings off at the gym once the boys got out of school. Working out continued, just not in the AM. What I missed the most was what I experienced today: running into brothers and men who I had been encouraging, loving, and just trying to point them to Jesus at every opportunity. :). So, yesterday… divine appointments… I ran into two guys… first thing… what’s up? Within a minute, we were talking about Jesus! Next guy, he too had missed AM for a while. However, he decided to come yesterday… my brother Todd… He is a humble brother with beautiful daughters:)… a devoted wife… we prayed… He needed prayer about some changes going on related to work and things… so…yes… Right on! It was a joy to pray with him and I ask you too to lift our brother up:)… We be united at the cross!
Okay, one more time… this morning.. Enrique… ran into him…. sure enough… quickly… as if we never stopped, we were talking about Jesus and praising our Lord right there in the locker room… wanting others to be drawn to Christ! That’s what I am talking about! :). With this kind of excitement we just have to sing!
I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered,
From the curse to set me free.
Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood, He purchased me.
On the cross, He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt, and made me free.
I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.
I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.
I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His heav’nly love to me;
He from death to life hath brought me,
Son of God with Him to be.
