Friday Morning Prayer:)… November 10, 2016
November 10, 2016 - 7 minutes readDay by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best—
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest[1]
“I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”[2]

Beloved In Jesus,
Whenever I need encouragement or just hunger for intimacy, comfort, assurance, I cry out to Jesus, and many times I run to our God through the Psalms and hymns. My heart’s desire is to encourage you sister/brother as you read and prayerfully sense the presence of God, even cry out in prayer through His living Word and precious gospel truth from traditional hymns.
We sing Rock of ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee, allow me to Lean on the everlasting arms and rejoice! Victory in Jesus! No matter what my circumstances or the happenings in the world around me, it is well with my soul! I must surrender all, indeed I surrender all, all to Thee my blessed Savior! Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art! Indeed, great is thy faithfulness O God my Father.
Have you been to Jesus for his cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side? In the soul cleansing power of the Lamb? Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright? Are your garments spotless are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Lay aside the garments that have been stained with sin, and be washed in the blood of the Lamb!
There is a fountain flowing for the soul unclean. Still all my song shall be nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee! Yes! I will cherish the old rugged cross! Let the water and the blood, from Thy wounded side which flowed, be of sin the double cure, save from wrath and make me pure. Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; as thou has been thou forever shall be! This is my story, this is my song! Praising my Savior all the day long!
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now I am found, was blind, but now I see! Through many dangers toils and snares we have already come, ‘twas grace that brought us safe thus far, and grace will lead us home. Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling! Wash me, Savior, or I die!
When the role is called up yonder I’ll be there! When the role is called up yonder, when the role is called up yonder, when the role is called up yonder, when the role is called up yonder, I’ll be there! What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see! What a day, glorious day that will be!
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him, how I’ve proved him o’er and o’er… Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more. What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer… Jesus knows our every weakness, so take it to the Lord in prayer!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord let the earth hear his voice, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice! Yes! Let us praise our Savior all the day long! Day by day!
“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.”[3]
