Friday Morning Prayer: May 22, 2014
May 23, 2014 - 6 minutes read“This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long! This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long!
…Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. Filled with His goodness, lost in His love….”
Brothers and Sisters In Christ,
May you be encouraged today and always! My prayer is that you find yourself filled with His goodness and lost in His LOVE everyday:). I am thankful for YOU, men and women “In Christ.” I thank God that He, through the power and supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit is wooing you, winning you, drawing you to Himself. And, that through various encounters, trials and tribulations, intimate fellowship times, earnest prayer gatherings, etc., is resulting in an ever growing love for others and JOY no matter what our circumstances.
Paul said, “…I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phil 1:4b-6.
Moreover, “…for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. v. 19
We see that Paul viewed “prayers” and the help given through the Holy Spirit as the means for his deliverance. This is our premise as we pray: moment by moment, day after day, week after week! I must keep praying! I am compelled by the Spirit to encourage brothers and sisters to pray! pray! pray! Our prayers will help in the “deliverance” of many from pain and suffering, yes, but more importantly is our present and future salvation, especially desiring supernatural love to abound more and more, as we anticipate our life before Christ.
A brother In Christ, a pastor of a local church posted, “This pastor needs your prayers, please!” Praise God! Humble, reflected as not relying on his own strength, but on the power of the Holy Spirit who will guide and direct in response to the prayers of many on his behalf.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by PRAYER and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God.” 4:4-7.
Friday Morning Prayer: Brothers In Christ are meeting at First Baptist. Located at 1912 Arnold Way, Alpine. You are invited to join us at 0730 for a time of sharing, encouragement, catch up, preparation, hanging out…. Around 0745 we intentionally cry out for God the Holy Spirit to lead us in prayer and worship. As the Spirit leads: we may read Scripture, sing a song, be silent, etc., whatever brings glory to our God we desire to do! If you can’t make it, pray in the Spirit during this hour, and if you have a request let me know.
Sisters In Christ: Meeting at First Baptist at 0900. Please let sisters In Christ know about this prayer gathering. It is exciting to have folks who love Jesus to come and effectively pray for our churches, communities, and each other:).
And so, we keep praying: Churches: Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Leaders, Teachers, Youth Leaders, Worship Leaders, Women’s groups, Men’s groups, Prayer gatherings throughout our communities. The body of Christ needs our prayers: LOVE, courage to share, boldness, gentleness, kindness, FRUIT! A lifestyle that brings glory to God and draws people to Christ:).
Alpine Treatment Center: open doors for ministry. Joan McQueen Higher Ground Group: gospel received and lived through youth. East County Pregnancy Care Clinic: God’s grace.
Prayer for Alpine and the surrounding communities. We desire to experience a radical move of the Spirit: for many people to experience the mercy of God! Hence, salvation. The grace of God prompting them to desire our Lord and hunger to know Him through His Word. We pray many many would go to a local church and become strong disciples, and in turn disciple someone else.
Alpine Youth Center: Jonathan, Kevin, many volunteers. May many youth see the gospel in action and experience transformation, resulting in salvation for them and families in Alpine. Our brother Joseph: may he return overflowing and excited about what the Lord is doing all over this world, especially through you and me:).
Rejoice in the Lord, always:).
Love you MUCH!
In Christ,
Randall
