Come, let us worship and bow down
And kneel before the Lord, our Maker
Come, let us worship and bow down
And kneel before the Lord, our Maker

He is our God, He is our God
We are the people of His pasture
He is our God, He is our God
We are the sheep of His hand

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, My Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

My valued Brothers and Sisters, In Christ,

In my reading through John 6. “Then they asked him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’ ” v. 28

Earlier Jesus fed five thousand men, plus women and children. The text reads, “Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.” John 6:11. Our generous and gracious God! The next day the crowds went looking for Jesus because they wanted more food. Jesus told them, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you….” v. 27

“Jesus answered, ‘The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.’ ” v. 29. The many were looking for Jesus because they wanted a miraculous sign or some wanted to have their stomachs filled. They did not believe. Our gracious God still fed them and gave them the gospel message. “…I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” v. 35

Be encouraged! God is gracious! For those who do not believe we extend the bread of life! We trust our sovereign God! Agape poured out… a supernatural regeneration! With great conviction we must proclaim, “…that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life…” v. 40. Moreover, for us who do believe…we have tasted… there is no better! I’d have to say I am hungry and I thirst, but always satisfied In Christ! “Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 4:14b.

As we hunger and thirst, walk in humble obedience, our gracious God will pour out His Spirit, hence infill, empower us to experience greater and greater heights of satisfaction! This supernatural sanctifying process continues! Am I further along in holiness? At greater heights the more I recognize how much further I must go! Therefore, In Christ, we are never completely satisfied, especially in this life.

A brother mentioned recently the idea of “not sinning.” It is absolutely true that we readily stop obvious sinful behavior as we walk with Christ and are constantly seeking the power of the Holy Spirit. We live out our new life In Christ! Constantly is our goal. However, as I experience greater depths, heights, width In Christ, the magnitude of my sinful struggle becomes more obvious to me. Some time ago, a faithful brother used the analogy of a great light; the closer we get to it the more revealing is our sin, especially in light of our Holy, Holy, Holy, God:).

Allow me to encourage you with the inspired words of Paul, “So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature…. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.” Gal 5: 16; 24-26 Humble is how we roll! And, that does take deliberate and intentional choices everyday :)…. In His strength alone!

Come, let us worship and bow down
And kneel before the Lord, our Maker
Come, let us worship and bow down
And kneel before the Lord, our Maker

Worship the Lord in holiness
Let the whole earth stand in awe
He will come to judge the earth
In righteousness and truth

I sincerely pray that YOU have engaged in the “work God requires…” Believe in Jesus, our only salvation! And, your supernatural belief is manifest always in pursuit of holiness through the abundant grace of God. Our brother Jeff started a Bible study in the book of Daniel on Wednesdays. Dean is going through the Bible on Wednesdays. There are small groups on Tuesdays and probably every other day of the week at one of the fellowships where Jesus is lifted up and the cross emphasized.

I encourage you to stay connected, accountable, and overflowing with springs of living water! :).

Your secret prayers matter! Joining to pray and encourage one another matters!

Persevere In Christ!

LoVe Others! MUCH!

Your brother,

Randall:).
