Rejoice in ALL things! I don’t like the new Yahoo email! Lost my draft last night! Well, rejoice and persevere! I can take a few to get an email out this morning:). Isn’t that our goal to strive to stay humble and be directed by the Holy Spirit every moment of everyday? YES! We all have our challenges, trials and temptations! I encourage YOU faithful In Christ, PERSEVERE! May the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit direct you this day and always as you humbly submit to HIM. Sing with me:)
I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered,
From the curse to set me free.
I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.
Sing, oh, sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood, He purchased me;
On the cross, He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt, and made me free.
Friday Prayer: Brothers are meeting at Grace Fellowship located at 2301 S. Grade Rd. Alpine. We meet at 0730. A sweet hour of prayer for the body of Christ represented here in Alpine and surrounding communities: churches, pastors, elders, deacons, worship leaders, youth leaders, faithful attenders, those who serve week in and week out, etc., Moreover, we pray without ceasing for the many folks throughout without Christ: young, old, married, single, rich, poor, sick, well, mature, immature, educated, uneducated, etc., ALL people need Christ and the fellowship with His people!
Sisters In Christ are meeting to pray too:). At 0900 Sisters meet at First Baptist located at 1912 Arnold Way, Alpine. We are praying and hoping the Lord draws many sisters together to pray for each other, the body of Christ, and our communities.
This week a brother In Christ shared with me at the gym: “Judge not God’s purpose based on His provision.” I didn’t quite get it, but as he shared insights from Esther, it became more clear. “Provision” can be defined as “something that is done in advance to prepare for something else.” Painful things happen. We hurt and suffer. Many times we don’t understand why circumstances unfold the way they do. However, we trust our sovereign God through difficult seasons, days, hours, always!
I came home and read through the book of Esther. Throughout we read about God’s sovereignty and providential timing. In the same way, God’s hand is at work in us and our lives day by day, heck, moment by moment, especially as I yield to Him. It was apparent that Esther was afraid, uncertain, but she persevered and put it ALL into the sovereign hand of God.
I desire to have just a fraction of the intensity and love for others that Mordecai had after learning about the Haman’s edict to destroy the Jews. “…he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes…wailing loudly and bitterly.” Moreover, in reference to Esther, “urge her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.” Esther 4:1-3
Yes! Let’s urge each other to go into our sovereign KING’S presence and beg for mercy and plead with HIM for our loved ones and the many who do not know Christ, especially within our sphere of influence. Furthermore, Esther, she understood the necessity to pray and fast as a means to move the sovereign hand of God in her circumstances: “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do.” Intense! Seeking, praying, praying, trusting God to work things out to His glory and our good! Even through our prayers!
Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
Keep praying for Alpine and the surrounding communities, especially the body of Christ to shine brightly to those in darkness. Help me Lord to love as You love others. In the power of the Spirit we ask, seek, knock continuously!
Thank you for your prayers unceasing: Alpine Youth Center: Jonathan, Kevin, Peter and many volunteers loving and ministering to the youth in Alpine. Our brother Joseph and his family. Empower us to serve well and to Your glory Lord throughout as You determine. Amen.
LoVe YOU much!
