Be Still and know I am God,
be still and know I am God,
be still and know I am God.[1]

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”[2]

Faithful In Christ,

Have you had to just sit this week and hear from our gracious God? There are those times when we have to hear God say, “Be still, and know that I am God;”[3] Beloved, be encouraged by the reality of the protective presence of our gracious God. Our God is with us and cares about our struggles, heartaches, and everyday difficulties presented in this life. At a prayer gathering this week a sister shared, “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”[4]

On Saturday I prayed and read the Psalms with a beloved elderly, but vibrant sister In Christ… she was struggling in the hospital. The family asked for prayer on Friday. By Monday our sister was home and adjusting well. Thank you Lord! Praise and exalt Him! My twin brother was struggling with anticipation of a job where he was assigned foreman, scheduled for Tuesday. On Monday, I could hear the fear and almost feel the anxious pains. We prayed. Today, Ron is excelling on the job! A massive crane job that scared me just looking at the pictures:). I asked him… are you still praying? He readily said, every moment! Praising and praying!

Many times our God orchestrates circumstances where we must choose to rely on our God, desperately we cry out in prayer, humbly seeking Him for wisdom, discernment, ongoing protection. Yes! “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”[5]

Brother… Sister In Christ… I pray you are not attempting to “go at it” alone. We need our God in difficult circumstances and during times of rejoicing. Always! Our God is not just a God on Sunday. No! In Christ our God is forever present drawing us to Himself, pursuing YOU, loving YOU… when I drift… I echo the prayer of David, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”[6] I am thankful that God will accept my cry…yours too… through the cross we come… “a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”[7]

I am the Lord that healeth thee,
I am the Lord that healeth thee,
I am the Lord that healeth thee.

In Thee, O Lord I put my trust,
In Thee, O Lord I put my trust,
In Thee, O Lord I put my trust

Sisters are meeting together to pray! First Baptist. 1912 Arnold Way. Alpine. 0900. Go overflow, pray with like-minded sisters In Christ. Encourage and be encouraged, spur one another on in our shared faith. We very much appreciate the prayers of faithful sisters who love Jesus and love the body of Christ. Thank you!

Come join us for a short hour of intentional prayer for our communities, churches, etc.., as the Holy Spirit leads.

“I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints.”[8]

Your brother,

LoVe Others! MUCH!
