Friday Morning Prayer:). July 31, 2014
July 31, 2014 - 6 minutes readJust as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
Faithful In Christ,
You are invited to pray and worship together:). I pray you experience an inner sense of excitement at the idea of coming together, humble, hungry, thirsty, hurting, praising, where ever the Lord has you, WE unite at the CROSS to ask, seek, knock!
Our Lord Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man (mankind) to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? Luke 9:23-25
We Christians, followers of Christ, have a radical message for those in the “world” today. People in our communities, families, work place, market place, EVERYWHERE! Others need to know the gospel in its entirety. To truly follow this radical message brings both positive and negative consequences. I pray you know the positive always: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control… and that overwhelming supernatural presence of God that creates a desire inside of you so much so that you can’t help but to overflow to those within your sphere of influence, and beyond!
On the other side: we pray for Christians in Mosul, our brothers and sisters throughout the Middle East who undergo persecution for following Jesus. What persecution do I undergo for following Jesus? Relatively little in my comfort zone! I am not looking to be persecuted, but I do need to speak up and proclaim the gospel! I am sure I will experience rejection due to the exclusive nature of the gospel in a relativistic, all encompassing, post-modern mindset our culture readily embraces. Nonetheless, we must pray, pray, pray asking our God to prepare hearts and grant mercy to many many who do not understand the reality of “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.”
In Christ! Let me encourage you brothers and sisters, Christ has our lives… we surrender and take up the cross daily! We live for the sake of Christ, not our own sake. And, we pray that our sovereign God would draw many to himself through us. May we invite many to come as they are, but then be transformed through the cross and begin the journey of following Christ. And, they too will recognize this insatiable desire to tell others of the supernatural transformation and empowering nature of this new life In Christ. This is what we believe! This is how we live!
YES! Let’s gather to love, encourage, teach, worship, and equip every week, even many times through the week, in whatever fellowship our Lord has determined …then the saints unite to go out to a lost a perishing people with good news! Salvation through our Lord Jesus! Peace that surpasses all understanding, which the world system can’t give! Joy only through the filling of God the Holy Spirit! Power through our living God indwelling ME! YOU! Exciting!
Friday Mornings we gather to pray and worship. We ask you brothers and sisters to pray with us, join us if you can, but one cool thing, among many, about our God is… He is omnipresent. Therefore, He knows who YOU are and hears your prayers, especially as you have come to the cross and surrendered all you have to Him.
Therefore, pray for our local churches, our Alpine and the surrounding communities. We cry out for Mercy for the lost, that many would get established in a gospel teaching, Holy Spirit empowered fellowship where they can experience our God and truly follow Him.

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Proclaim it! Live it! Love others through the power of Jesus!
LoVe YOU Much!
