Friday Morning Prayer:) January 22, 2015

January 22, 2015 - 5 minutes read

Praise the name of Jesus for His tender care,
Watching o’er me every day;
He will bear my burdens, hear my feeble prayer,
And will guide me when I stray.

All the way, all the way,
I will praise his name every day;
I am happy in my blessèd Savior’s love,
And I’m singing all the way.

Sister are meeting to pray! 1912 Arnold Way. Alpine. 0900. Very much appreciate our sisters who gather faithfully week after week to pray for our churches, each other, communities, nation, etc., A time of crying out, expressing our need, revering our God who alone empowers and directs our every step. Join for a time of encouragement and intercessory prayer.

Brothers are meeting too! Bethel Assembly. 1929 Arnold Way. Alpine 0730. A trumpet call! Let’s pray together brothers! :). Come with a sense of expectation… let’s allow the Holy Spirit to direct our time as we humbly bow in reverence to our holy, holy, holy God:).

Beloved, Just a brief reflection to encourage you and prompt us to pray more and more.

Prayer… Worship… a constant recognition of our dependence on our gracious God! Circumstances vary, yet not arbitrary. Many times we experience joy and excitement In Christ… we overflow and can’t help but to share how great and awesome is our God. There are other times when this life is so difficult: tragic events, sickness, suffering, loss, etc., With Nehemiah we can only weep, mourn, fast and pray before our sovereign God in heaven. 1:4. Our life process, although just a vapor in light of eternity, continues.

King Artaxerxes asked, “What is it you want? Nehemiah prayed… then we observe God’s abundant grace! Opposition! Spiritual warfare…we pray! “Hear us, O our God…” 4:4 Through persecution, angry people, difficult circumstances we follow Nehemiah, “But we prayed to our God…” And, we take practical steps to protect, preserve, nurture… “and posted a guard day and night meet the threat.” v. 9.

In Christ we take courage! “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives, and your homes.” v. 14 How true, even today as we strive In Christ… “The work is extensive and spread out and we are widely separated from each other along the wall.” The trumpet call… join together, confidently knowing and proclaiming, “Our God will fight for us!” v. 20

We pray intently alone and together… our supernatural source of strength is our God! Please Lord, “But I prayed, ‘Now strengthen my hands.” 6:9. I must persevere to completion what I have been sovereignly assigned, even salvation. Through the process and into eternity, we echo with Ezra as the people of God! “Ezra opened the book…. and as he opened it, the people all stood up. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, Amen! Amen! Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.” 8:5-6.

For my Savior is my never-failing friend,
Thro’ the night and thro’ the day;
On His love I know I always can depend,
So I’ll praise Him every day.

Tho’ the dark’ning shadows round about me creep,
And the way is lone and drear:
By my Savior’s side I’ll ever closely keep,
Singing happy songs of cheer.

All the way, all the way,
I will praise his name every day;
I am happy in my blessèd Savior’s love,
And I’m singing all the way.

Join us to pray if you can. We very much value your presence and know, with confidence, that the prayer of a righteous man (In Christ) is powerful and effective! James 5.

Your prayers matter!

Persevere!

LoVe Others MUCH!
