He leadeth me, O blessèd thought!
O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!
Whate’er I do, where’er I be
Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.
“Your love O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. Psalm 36:5-6
O blessed thought! Our God, holy transcendent mighty God preserves us, leadeth us only down paths for our ultimate good and holiness. My strong desire is to walk ever closer, more intimately, an all-consuming relationship with our gracious God! You need this too! Our heavenly Father who embraces, comforts, restores us through His Son Jesus… In Christ! Our Redeemer… We run to the cross!
When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.
The psalmist knew, even experienced this supernatural longing and recognition of our ever present need for the love God bestows on his children! “How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.” v. 7.
Brothers and Sisters In Christ,
Today I met with brothers at our standing 0730 appointment at McDonalds. We meet to sharpen one another. To discuss God! His work in our lives, individually and together! How are we working out our salvation with fear and trembling? I recall a brother sharing how the parable of the talents induced a holy fear. Yes! Fear and trembling! We serve a holy, holy, holy God!
For the person In Christ, this motivates! For the casual churchgoer “I believe in God” this means nothing and does not stir the heart. For the carnal, lukewarm, dabbling in sinful behavior, God’s holiness convicts, even induces paralysis, suffering, a discomfort that eventually will leadeth to repentance! A truly transformed heart can’t live continually without God leading every step.
O praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!
O praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!
O praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!
We fellowship with God the Father through our Lord Jesus, God the Son, and always longing, crying out for more supernatural power to live intimately with our holy God!
Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Infilling, Anointing… today we humbly talked, reflected, inquired, and just enjoyed seeking biblical clarity on these terms.
An absolute agreement among us is what I want to encourage you with…. The end result or outcome of each of these supernatural constructs… is POWER! God the Holy Spirit empowers us to live out, even work out our salvation with fear and trembling. I encourage you to engage! Grow! Mature in grace! Overflow to those God has placed in your sphere of influence!
God determines the nature of the manifestation when the Holy Spirit: Infills, baptizes, or anoints… hence empowers. May our hearts, minds, souls be open to allow God to lead us as he determines and may I never impose God’s lead in my life onto someone else, a group or even a church fellowship. Humble!
However, I can say for certain that when God the Holy Spirit indwells there ought to be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control dictating my life. Yours too! Do you see it? Let me know! I need to be accountable!
Let’s close with more from Psalm 36. “They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; In your light we see light. Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.” v. 8-10.
He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful follower I would be,
For by His hand He leadeth me.
Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
By waters still, over troubled sea,
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.
Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,
Nor ever murmur nor repine;
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since ’tis my Go And when my task on earth is done,
When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won,
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
Since God through Jordan leadeth me.
Thank you for your prayers!
LoVe YOU! MUCH!
Your Brother In Christ,
Randall:).
