Friday Morning Prayer:)… February 17, 2016
February 17, 2016 - 6 minutes read‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
and to take him at his word;
just to rest upon his promise,
and to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more![1]
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.”[2]
Do I trust Jesus with everything? As I pray, I believe that God hears my cry and genuinely cares. The Scripture proclaims, “the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”[3] Our sovereign God, mighty in power, holy, holy, holy, Creator of the heavens and earth, everywhere always, hearing the prayers of many simultaneously, forever present in every believer and knowing the state of every person breathing the air He provides is worthy of my ever increasing trust.
Beloved, be encouraged as you “…make the Lord [your] trust…” I pray you’d be strengthened this day to continue with much joy through the process, growing in grace, experiencing the struggles of this life that ultimately make us stronger and builds a robust trust at the hand of our gracious God. We rejoice in our God through Christ! In our imperfections, failures, doubts, and compromises, we proclaim with blessed assurance, how great and merciful is our God! Indeed, You, me and all those In Christ are perfect/righteous before God because of the only Perfect One. Moreover, our God “…can still see us becoming in practice what we are positionally in Christ. The lens of imputation secures our invincible right standing with God.”[4]
Sister/Brother… family In Christ and those “Almost persuaded” now to believe; “Almost persuaded” Christ to receive.…”[5] allow me to encourage you as I was encouraged as my pastor preached through John 1:14-18 this past Lord’s Day. Be ye encouraged as you:
· Trust the Lord- our life In Christ is for a purpose- His purpose lived out through our lives.
· Rely completely (trusting) our God full of grace. “From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.”[6]
· Trust, rejoice in, share, overflow, invite others to experience the Way, Truth, and Life- our Lord Jesus!
· People without Christ are spiritually dead and condemned by the law. However, if one trusts the Lord as Savior, a new life! A supernatural regeneration!
· We are the vehicle God uses: His voice, hands, feet, to reach the lost, to pray and trust our God to grant mercy unto salvation.

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
just to trust his cleansing blood;
and in simple faith to plunge me
neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
just from sin and self to cease;
just from Jesus simply taking
life and rest, and joy and peace.
I’m so glad I learned to trust thee,
precious Jesus, Savior, friend;
and I know that thou art with me,
wilt be with me to the end.
Your brother In Christ,
Randall:).
