Friday Morning Prayer:). April 9, 2015
April 9, 2015 - 7 minutes readThere’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our soul’s diseases,
No, not one! No, not one!
Jesus knows all about our struggles,
He will guide till the day is done;
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!
Sisters are meeting at First Baptist to pray together! 1912 Arnold Way. Alpine. 0900. You are invited! Join faithful sisters to pray for our communities, our local churches, Youth Center, etc., the many needing salvation! Come with expectation and be encouraged through uniting and knitting together in supernatural love!
Brothers are meeting to pray too! MountainView Bible. 2710 Alpine Blvd. Alpine. 0730. Brothers joining together week after week to intentionally pray. Yes! So too, we come with expectation! Even now, cry out with me for God the Holy Spirit to direct our time together. Just 45 min of humbly asking, seeking, knocking… no distractions, no deviations, NO! The spirit is willing so often, yet the flesh is weak! Help us Lord to walk and pray in the Spirit, to Your glory always! Amen.
Brothers and Sisters In Christ,
Struggle! For many this word brings to mind the struggles of this life: financial, relational, our children, marriage, work, ministry, etc., And, rightly so, this life has its’ many struggles prompting “us” those whom Christ indwells, to engage in the supernatural struggle of prayer. We are not left alone to “work things out” and get it right. No! The mystery has been revealed, the answer to life’s difficulties, peace that surpasses all understanding, joy overflowing, forgiveness of sins, redemption, salvation, empowering, comfort, Yes! Paul wrote,
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” [!]. Col 1:27.
Beloved, be encouraged In Christ! Jesus comforted, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:1-3.
We proclaim him… struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me. Col 1:28-29. Paul was struggling, agonizing, intense exertion in prayer for those he loved, the Colossian Christians, even those who had not met him personally. It was not through his strength or energy, but by the supernatural power at work in him. In Christ, through our living faith, we constantly cry out for His strength, supernatural power to rise above our natural limitations, even life struggles.
How much do I pray with this type of agony? Do I struggle in prayer for those I love, even those I have not yet met? Wrestle, struggle, earnest and intentional prayer!
My family In Christ… may I more and more reflect a genuine concern for others, encouraging the hearts of many and calling for a unity in love. Why? “…so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Col 2:2-3.
Christ is our life! How cool! Our God abides with us! Therefore, we strive always to, “Set your [our] minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is YOUR LIFE, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Col 3:2-4.
Our faithful brother shared this week the following: Let’s struggle in prayer together and truly expect our gracious God to move on our behalf!
“Learn to expect God to act. If we are ever to walk in the power and authority of a holy God, you and I have got to get over our belief that nothing is going to happen because nothing ever happens. Stop that! Stop that right now! Begin to walk with an air of expectancy about what God wants to do at any given moment. EXPECT GOD TO DO SOMETHING! Just what he’ll do is what you and I get to find out, but then, only when we walk by faith.”
Right on brother!
No, not one! No, not one!
No night so dark but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! No, not one!
Did ever saint find this friend forsake him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! No, not one!
Was ever a gift like the Savior given?
No, not one! No, not one!
Will He refuse us a home in Heaven?
No, not one! No, not one!
Jesus knows all about our struggles,
He will guide till the day is done;
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus,
No, not one! No, not one!
LoVe Others! MUCH!
Your brother,
Randall:).
