Friday Morning Prayer:). April 2, 2015

April 2, 2015 - 8 minutes read

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.

Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Would you o’er evil a victory win? There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the blood of the Lamb; There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you do service for Jesus your King? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Would you live daily His praises to sing? There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Sing! Praise! Worship!

Sisters are meeting for prayer! First Baptist Church. 1912 Arnold Way. 0900. Join faithful sisters to pray, encourage, praise, and worship.

Brothers are meeting at Grace Fellowship. 2301 S. Grade. Alpine. 0730. Join us if you have an hour in the AM. We hang out and encourage for 15 min or so… at 0745 we intentionally pray… it takes discipline to “just pray” allowing the Holy Spirit to lead our time… hearing, fervently seeking, resisting distraction, pray, pray, pray, longing to be filled with God the Holy Spirit. Absolutely essential!

Brothers and Sisters In Christ,

We cry out together “I need Thee oh I need Thee… I need Thee every hour…” In joy or pain we so desperately need our Lord Jesus, every moment of everyday! We are encouraged to pray… to pursue our God… much time spent in secret prayer! Why? “Lord, I want to be like Jesus… Oh I want to be more holy… Lord, I want to be like Jesus in my heart…” “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:1-2.

Holy Week… A special time to reflect, appreciate, draw closer for sure: Our God! Intense prayer, embracing the cup… the Father’s will… rejection… crucifixion… pain…suffering… salvation… restoration… and glory in resurrection! He has risen! He has risen indeed! A daily reality for us who believe! A necessary message for ALL! Moreover, “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain the resurrection from the dead.” Phil 3:10-11.

How much I need every day the supernatural power of God! To enjoy intimacy with Him, to hear His voice, to heed His prompt, die to self, love others well, discern, encourage, listen, live holiness… In Christ YOU do too! If you find the fire going out, or overwhelmed with this temporary life, just not feeling the joy, or barely enduring the suffering… know that our God cares, loves beyond our comprehension, and has a purpose in ALL He allows, orchestrates, and sovereignly satisfies according to His pleasure.

Many times and always we need each other! Therefore we continuously ask, seek, knock, wrestle in prayer, much secret prayer! And, we pray together! We trust our God together. We carry the burdens of others, we embrace, love, pray, and encourage. Perseverance! Not in our own strength! No! We rely on supernatural power!

Beloved, stay connected to the body of Christ: loving brothers and sisters who will rejoice with you and even mourn when the trials come. I very much appreciate brothers In Christ and value the necessary accountability and encouragement. Let us know if we can help you get connected. There are many gospel centered fellowships where you will be loved, experience discipleship, challenged, and enjoy our Holy God.

Our faithful sister sent the following: an encouragement to pray much!

This statement by Leonard Ravenhill has long convicted me: “No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, but few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writers, but few fighters. Failing here, we fail everywhere.” He adds: “If we displease God, does it matter whom we please? If we please Him does it matter whom we displease?”

Calvary Chapel is having a Friday night service at 6:30. 2267 W Victoria Dr. Alpine. All are welcome! Come praise, worship, feed on the Word!

Band of Brothers TONIGHT! 6:00 dinner! 7:00 Worship and teaching. Bethel Assembly, 1929 Arnold Way. All men are welcome for a great time of fellowship and encouragement! Essential!

Just Pray Ministries is inviting folks to join in prayer, praise and worship! LOCATION: 2590 Truxtun Rd. San Diego, 92106. Suite 100 – downstairs. The building is on the northeast corner of Truxtun & Roosevelt, in Liberty Station, diagonally across from Vons & North Chapel. There is a banner on the outside of the building that says Recreational Music Center.

See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.

LoVe YOU! MUCH!

Your brother,

Randall:).
