Friday Morning Prayer: April 10, 2014

May 18, 2014 - 6 minutes read

Faithful brothers and sisters In Christ,

The Apostle Paul expressed thanks to our gracious God every time he remembered his brothers and sisters In Christ. And, he said, “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with JOY because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now…” Phil 1:4-5

Paul’s love for others, especially those in the family of God was intense. I desire this supernatural intensity! You do too! I know because I have interacted, prayed, worshipped, fellowshipped, and practically loved others with many of you. Thank you for your willingness to pray, and desiring to increase supernatural intensity more and more!

We know that genuinely transformed believers have Christ indwelling:). This is a very, very exciting reality! We too can long for our brothers and sisters “with the affection of Christ Jesus.” v. 8 How? This is only possible through the “Indwelling Christ” who produces the fruit of love by the POWER of the Holy Spirit:).

Paul said, “And this is my prayer: that your love my abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so you may be able discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, FILLED with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ–to the glory and praise of God.” v. 9-11.

We pray for each other, for our continued maturity and spiritual progress in Christ. We know prayer is essential, it is the supernatural factor in any lasting spiritual growth and change. Our prayers demonstrate our “complete dependence” on our gracious, sovereign, holy, omniscient, omnipotent, compassionate, loving, embracing, comforting, intimate… God!:). Moreover, we are interdependent on each other. We can’t do this alone! The good news is that God designed it this way: Love the Lord your God with all you got, and love your neighbor as yourself! 🙂

We are not left to our own devices and ignorance. No! In Christ, we love and pursue maturity based on knowledge gained from the Scriptures, especially as our minds are illuminated by the Holy Spirit. As we pray, we earnestly ask for understanding and discernment…. May I love wholeheartedly what God commands in the way He reveals. We strive toward humility, heeding daily Paul’s inspired words, “Do not go beyond what is written.” 1 Peter 5:6; 1 Cor. 4:6:)

Friday Morning Prayer: YOU are invited to pray with us:). Men from different churches in Alpine and surrounding communities have been meeting for quite some time now. It has been a joy and blessing! Therefore, we invite you to come and pray with us and experience the joy of Christ, the love of brothers, and be blessed!:).

Location: Mt. View Bible Church: 2710 Alpine Boulevard, Alpine. We meet at 0730 for a time of fellowship, hanging out, reflection, or whatever is comfortable as the Spirit leads you. At 0745 or so, we cry out for God the Holy Spirit to direct us: we may break out in song, or read a Psalm… we intentionally ask for supernatural power to pray effectively. If you can’t make it pray with us whereever you are during this “sweet hour of prayer.” We be united in prayer! :). We very much appreciate your time and God knows where you are.

Prayers: Ongoing prayer for Alpine and the surrounding communities: we are asking for God to pour out Living Water through which many many people will be transformed! Boldness! Hunger! Workers! Lord, use us within our sphere of influence and beyond to draw people to Yourself…

Our fellowships, the Body of Christ, throughout Alpine and surrounding communities: Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Teachers, Youth Leaders, para-church ministries, etc.,: we ask that many will be supernaturally touched and decide to go to a Bible teaching church where they can “rock and roll for Christ!”

Pray without ceasing for our Alpine Youth Center: youth, families, mom’s, dad’s… ongoing support, especially as we partner, with local churches as the Body of Christ, to “…implore…[folks] on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Cor 5:20b

Know as we pray like this and for each other, God is faithful! Many brothers and sisters have emailed to say thank you for praying… God has healed, empowered, brought contentment, and set the complacent on FIRE! Especially me! That’s Right! Get excited! Stay excited! We just beginning!:)

I appreciate your emails, my soul is encouraged! May yours be too!

Persevere In Christ!

Love you much!

Randall:)
