Encouragement ~ Prayer:) December 2, 2014

December 2, 2014 - 5 minutes read

I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered,
From the curse to set me free.

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. [!!!]. :). Psalm 63:1-5

Beloved… my brothers and sisters In Christ!

Joy! I love the family of God! If you are reading this email and haven’t yet taken the steps to join a fellowship of believers at a local gospel teaching church, I encourage you to do so. Yes! With confidence we can say together, “I am a disciple of Jesus, my Savior and Lord.” :). I pray God will draw you, create in you an overwhelming desire to genuinely, supernaturally experience Him as Lord of your life, earnestly seeking, thirsting and longing for intimacy with Jesus everyday!

Moreover, YOU can experience our God through His people. I long to engage with Holy Spirit filled genuinely transformed folks who God uses to express: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control…. Exciting! Through caring and supportive relationships among the body of believers we become strong disciples: loving, teaching, learning, accountable… we need each other! So many times YOU are the hands, feet, listening ear, spoken words of our gracious God:).

Thanksgiving Day we gathered to serve, Friday we gathered to encourage, pray, love, Saturday a group of us went downtown to serve the poor and disabled, Sunday the Gospel was preached, Sisters gathered around a hurting sister to comfort, brothers encouraging each other to persevere!

The dynamic supernatural presence of our God in our midst, your church, his church, my church, Bible studies, prayer meetings! Do you see? Can you hear Him? Do you feel the joy? “…I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory….” Day after day, week after week, even moment after moment may we proclaim Jesus as better than life and our lips constantly praise and glorify Him!

Humble, a constant choice… we are diverse, agree, disagree within orthodoxy… UNITE in love, kneeling at the CROSS…. proclaiming the gospel… praying for many to know we are His disciples because of the love we have for one another… even drawn by God unto salvation through our witness. Pray, pray pray with us as we/you strive in His power to be imitators of our Lord!

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood, He purchased me.
On the cross, He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt, and made me free.

I will tell the wondrous story,
How my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.

I will praise my dear Redeemer,
His triumphant power I’ll tell,
How the victory He giveth
Over sin, and death, and hell.

I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His heav’nly love to me;
He from death to life hath brought me,
Son of God with Him to be.
