Encouragement, Grace, Prayer:): June 2, 2014
June 2, 2014 - 7 minutes readFaithful In Christ,
I pray you are overflowing as the hustle and bustle of the week begins, especially after enjoying a time of preaching, teaching, worship, and fellowship with brothers and sisters In Christ! :).
Thank you pastors, elders, teachers, worship leaders for allowing God to empower you to serve the body of Christ:). You are appreciated! Praise God for your faithfulness. Moreover, if you are reading this email, you may not be a leader in the church, but you are hungry hungry hungry for the supernatural power of God to direct your life In Christ! Thank you! Your obedience to pray, gather, worship, and just genuinely love others in the body of Christ is a demonstration of God’s mercy and grace:). Therefore, we all rejoice! To God be the GLORY! The “Body of Christ” transformed and empowered people in various churches, para-church ministries, through multiple gifts, and ALWAYS because of God’s supernatural power and abundant GRACE!
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,To the cross where Thou hast died;Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,To Thy precious, bleeding side.
My goal weekly is to encourage and encourage over and over again YOU, my brothers and sisters, to persevere In Christ! I grow weary and so do you! Therefore, we pray pray pray, “…Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side…”
I love John Piper’s scriptural proclamation, “God is glorified when I am satisfied in Him; I am satisfied when God is glorified in me.” This is most excellent in that God cares about His glory, AND your satisfaction through His glory! The latter only occurs because YOU are In Christ!:). Rejoice!
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Col 1:27
May we pray without ceasing for many to “know” and “experience” “this mystery, which is Christ in you…” especially our loved ones, those seeking because God is wooing, broken lives needing salvation, complete healing only through Jesus our gracious God. Lord, we plead, cry, ask over and over again, MERCY for those who have forsaken you and sought empty cisterns. Jer 2:13
“My people have committed two sins:
They have forsaken me,
the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”
Forgive me Lord for wavering, and considering any other kind of drink. May I daily rely on your power, YOU, the Living Water to forsake every other enticing kind of drink offered from this world. NO! Help me to Submit! and Resist! Stand on the promise! James 4:7.
All I can do is call on the name of the Lord! “I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.” Psalm 116:1 Moreover, “How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?” v. 12 You can’t! However, “I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.” [!]
Piper said, with excitement I am sure!:). Is that payback or what? Isn’t that amazing? What shall I render to the Lord for all of his bounty to me? Answer: I will hold up a cup of salvation for more and call upon the Lord to fill it again. [!] And, that’s what the Lord wants from you… That’s the payback for grace-more grace, more grace. [!] :).
Let’s get excited about GRACE! Moreover, God’s mercy for those who haven’t experienced this precious gift. I need God’s grace to finish this email, to love my kids well, to have the courage to speak up on behalf of my Savior in a resistant and hostile world, etc.,
Finally, our brother John said, “Prayer is an empty cup of salvation lifted to the Lord, like a little child. Do it again, daddy. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again.”
“Prayer is the point where we confess I am always the receiver in relation to God, so that he is the one who gets the glory and I get the joy.”
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Oh, the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend!
I need your help through prayer. The body of Christ here in Alpine and surrounding areas. The lost…Oh God, grant us grace to pray and continue to pray for mercy on many individuals needing salvation and a church home to grow In Christ. Through our prayers Lord, Glorify Yourself in drawing many folks to Yourself, especially as we lift up Christ always, Amen.
Persevere!
LOve YOU much!
Randall:).
