Ongoing Ministries: Outreach to the poor and disabled

Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it (Hebrews 13:1-2).

We are gearing up for our next quarterly outreach to the poor and disabled. Our CONFIRMED date is Saturday February 27, 2010. We will be posting a map and driving directions soon. Look forward to seeing you there!

We need donations! Please consider gathering blankets, sleeping bags, and jackets, etc. The weather will continue to be cool through April 2010. Hygiene products were in high demand: soaps, razors, oral hygiene kits, deodorant, etc., clothes in general are greatly appreciated. Whatever is left over we donate to the Rescue Mission.

Additional items worth considering: dry goods, microwavable meals, non-perishable items are okay to give to those in need.

We will strive to have a blanket and hygiene kit for everyone who comes to the event. At our last event over 100 needy people attended.

If you want to get involved in soliciting, organizing, or serving at the event, let us know. May our Lord bless your willingness to get involved in serving the poor. If you have creative ideas and are good at networking with businesses, neighbors, churches, God is calling you to get involved, to use your gifts to serve those most in need in our community.
