Love, Encouragement, Prayer “In Christ”:). May 19, 2014

Faithful In Christ,

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” 1 Chron 16:11

As I experience the supernatural love of God toward me, His forgiveness, comfort, restoration, and renewal day by day, I find it easier to love others. Moreover, we In Christ have the Holy Spirit to help us love others, especially when all to often my human reaction is get angry and demand compliance, obedience, justice.

Just tonight my boys started “acting up” right at bed time! Ugg! I nearly put the law down, but as I jumped up to assess the conflict, God reminded me of my obligation to love my boys and help them resolve their conflict, not make it worse. Demonstrate GRACE:). Deescalation, redirection, comfort with HUGS and soft words of understanding as we moved toward the bedtime routine. It was and always is a blessing to be able to pray with each of them: emphasizing that we live in such a way,

“In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Eph 4:26-27.

My failure to heed to the prompting of God the Holy Spirit hinders the power of God in my life: to love others, hear the cry for help behind all the endless speech, to be sensitive to someones’ need for prayer, and even comfort my boys at the times they need it most. I am thankful for forgiveness, love, grace, and mercy! My prayer tonight is that you are experiencing these supernatural gifts from our “Abba” Father, Mighty God! And this being so everyday throughout your “In Christ” life.

All of us can say with the Psalmist, “O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me….” Therefore, “Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name.” [!] O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.” [!] Psalm 30: 2, 4, 12b. :).

You know and I know that people today, especially those in our sphere of influence, and living in our communities, desperately need the help we can give them. Many times we want to help others, but it is beyond our capacity. However, we can help always through our intercessory prayers:).

In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul makes it clear that we rely not on ourselves, but on our gracious and powerful God, Who will continue to deliver. WE HELP by our prayers! And, as we and others experience the grace of God through answered prayers: relief, peace, power, boldness, through various trials, many many who are praying will give thanks on behalf of those shown God’s grace and mercy:). 2 Cor. 1:10-11. This is why we can’t help but share:). [!]

“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.” Psalm 40:10

Beloved brothers and sisters, I pray you are encouraged by our shared faith always! Moreover, let’s pray for each other that we not grow weary and lose heart, especially as we pray for the many many needing our help through prayer.

Unceasing Prayer: Gospel teaching, Bible preaching, disciple making churches: Alpine and surrounding areas: Pastors, Elders, Teachers, Leaders, Bible study groups, prayer circles… we pray for ongoing supernatural power! Multiply we pray, throughout our communities!

Alpine and East County communities: residents, youth, couples, singles, families, rich, poor, ALL folks needing salvation through our Lord Jesus. We ask for opportunities and for many, many to be lead to one of the local churches where they can experience the love of God through His people.

Please pray for the women’s prayer group meeting on Friday mornings at 0900 at First Baptist in Alpine. May many sisters in Christ be prompted by the Holy Spirit to join in prayer together!

John Calvin wrote,

“….To make intercession for men is the most powerful and practical way in which we can express our love for them.”

Love you MUCH!

In Christ,

Randall:).
