Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Beloved In Christ,
What is my attitude, mindset, thought process, disposition, even emotional process, my feelings as I intentionally seek our Holy God? Well, there is the ideal and then the reality. Nonetheless, we persevere in prayer!:). I know God hears me, especially as I recognize the cleansing blood of Christ and appropriate to my own sin… Yes! The CROSS bridges the way to communion, fellowship, intimacy with our gracious God. This is what we believe, live, and proclaim!
Moreover, we are empowered and God the Holy Spirit does move us, stir us up, brings conviction, JOY, tells us when to go and when to stay, even speak or be silent… I don’t exclusively rely on my feelings when it comes to relating with our Holy God. However, I so much long to experience the love, joy, peace… of God everyday, to sense His comfort and supernatural leading. In Christ, you do too.
A brother shared this week, we are “strugglers” each of us in the boat of life contending with the waves, varying in nature, size, intensity, etc., WE pray through our storms… Yes! What is really cool for transformed, Spirit filled, empowered, faithful, a crying out people of God is that we recognize our need for each other.
In relationship, we extend a helping hand, genuinely love, have compassion, and abundant grace always! I fail! I confess. Nothing but the blood, I am forgiven… Therefore, I keep loving, forgiving, embracing my family In Christ! :). In all our diversity, differing views, interpretations, even convictions, our Lord Jesus prayed for us:
“My prayer is not for them alone, I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one; I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:20-23
Friday Morning Prayer is a place we can intentionally unite at the cross: express love toward one another through prayer, encouragement, allowing interpersonal relationships to evolve…. Moreover, we rely on God! We worship! May I resist the tendency to lead a group of faithful devoted men beyond the direction of the Holy Spirit. No! It is not my way or yours… we need supernatural leading…not only in our prayer groups, but ALWAYS, every moment of everyday! So, pray for this end, to the glory of our God always:). Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
