Faithful In Christ,

Friday Morning Prayer! :). Brothers are meeting at Mt. View Bible located at 2710 Alpine Blvd. Alpine. We meet at 0730. A time of humbly asking, seeking, knocking. Brothers and sisters In Christ recognizing our frailty and inadequacy, relying on our gracious God to empower us and make His strength known through our weakness. A sweet hour of prayer and worship! YOU are invited to join us! Be encouraged and more importantly, encourage another through our shared faith.

Sisters In Christ are meeting to pray: join them at First Baptist Church at 0900. 1912 Arnold Way, Alpine. Even now, as you read this invite, please pray for our sisters gathering to pray and seek our God on behalf of the Body of Christ, Alpine residents, and the lost throughout the surrounding areas. Moreover, spread the word about this “sweet hour of prayer.”

A brother said to me this week, “get excited!” YES! I pray you too are excited about your life In Christ and can’t help but overflow to those around you:). We gather to pray, pray, pray… we cry and ache for those who do not know the supernatural “excitement” experienced In Christ. We want many to sing with us!

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Praise God! Can you hear it! Sing! “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before HIM with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” Psalm 95:1-2.

If you are struggling today, and we all struggle. I want to encourage you as I was encouraged this morning. Our gracious God is rebuilding and refining, even through our setbacks. We see this in through Ezra 5-6. God orchestrated the rebuilding of the temple despite opposition, frustrations, discouragements, delays, struggle. Today’s Daily Bread titled, “Keep Calm and Carry On” highlights, “When we are engaged in God’s work and we encounter setbacks, we can calmly carry on because, like the Israelites, “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth.” 5:11

Moreover, Paul said, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.” 1Cor. 3:16-17

We, In Christ can be called individually and collectively God’s temple. Our sovereign God is always at work refining us and many times it is through suffering, discouragements, setbacks, etc., I need my flesh and sinful tendencies to be destroyed everyday and the Spirit, our compassionate and loving God, to rebuild, sculpt, mold me more and more into the Image of Christ. So do you!:).

Therefore, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, [and sisters] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4

As I sat down to pray this morning, I got a text, “Rest in Me, my child. Give your mind a break from planning and trying to anticipate what will happen. PRAY continually, asking MY Spirit to take charge, constant Companion who sustains you moment by moment. As you gaze anxiously into the distance, you don’t even feel the strong grip of My hand holding yours. How foolish you are, my child!!! Remembrance of Me is a daily discipline. Never lose sight of My presence with you. This will keep you resting in Me all day, every day.” 1 Thes 5:17; Psalm 62:5.

Thank you brother for that word! Your overflow is a blessing! I got to say, this brother Warren, is the fruit of much labor through Luke’s House! Moved on, now In Christ! Man! Yes! Supernatural! Transformation! Ongoing rebuilding and refining! :). Indeed! “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thes. 5:16-18. And we sing! :).

Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
