Friday Morning Prayer:)… April 27, 2017

April 27, 2017 - 6 minutes read
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?[1]
“…a man came along who was covered with leprosy.  When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’  Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,” he said.  ‘Be clean!’  And immediately the leprosy left him.”[2]
“…How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[3]  Paul is referencing Isaiah who writes, “How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ “[4]

I love brothers who are called and sent to preach the good news!  Of course, in Christ, you have been called unto salvation and can’t help but to overflow the good news!  To a large extent a truly transformed life in Jesus does share the good news with others! However, men called to devote their lives to preaching, teaching, equipping the saints is beautiful!  Those in Christ recognize the honorable calling and rejoice in hearing the gospel preached.  Indeed, salvation announced to all who will accept according to God’s sovereign grace.
I found myself rejoicing this past Sunday as the clarity of the gospel was presented.  In Jesus I have been washed in the blood of the lamb!  You too!  You remember the day, or season when God reached out and touched you.  Through the preaching of the gospel, even cleansing power, the mercy of God transformed and continues to transform!  Indeed, a changed life with new desires, longings, ambitions reflecting a new creation in Christ!  We proclaim, Jesus is the Lord of my life!
Brother/sister in Christ,  I write to express my thoughts and encourage you in your journey with our gracious God.  I need to be encouraged!  You do too.  Never give up!   Through every high and low trusting every hour, walking daily by our Savior’s side, and resting moment by moment through varied trials and tribulations in the Crucified.   Rejoice always!  You have been washed in the blood of the Lamb!
I pray you are becoming stronger as you pursue the God who pursues you!  Without a doubt, my soul becomes famished if I do not spend time at his spiritual table on a regular basis.  I read recently, “Hearing from God yesterday is not sufficient for the challenges of today. Since Jesus is “the living bread that came down from heaven” (John 6:51), our souls become famished if we do not spend time at his spiritual table.[5]
As we humbly come, Jesus is willing.  Be clean through the blood of the Lamb.

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
Oh, be washed in the blood of the Lamb!
