Friday Morning Prayer:)… February 11, 2016

February 11, 2016 - 6 minutes read

I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.[1]

“Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man’s behalf!”[2]

Beloved In Christ,

I am always encouraged in reading the Psalms. How evident in my life, you too sister/brother… our need to be reminded, encouraged, comforted many times during the week through the truth of Scripture, “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.”[3] I have been saved by the mercy and grace of God unto eternal life. You too! Through God’s grace by faith in the sacrificial work of Jesus on the cross. In Christ, we are also “being saved” in that God keeps us, protects us, saves us from the rampant wickedness going on all around us, even from the unseen world of principalities and powers of this dark age. “My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”[4] Truly! No other hope!

Throughout the Scriptures we read expressions of certainty that our gracious God answers our prayers and delivers us from evil. In great reverence and humility we cry out, “Hear my cry O God; listen to my prayer.”[5] Like the psalmist, may we truly enjoy our God in supernatural intimacy, even recognizing that His presence and favor means more than anything else in this life. “Oh God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”[6]

Be encouraged! “He ever loves and cares for His own.” Therefore, I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus! I cannot bear my burdens alone!”

“You have loved them–AS You have loved Me!” John 17:23
Yes, the Father has loved us–just as He has loved Jesus–with an infinite love!

Every believer, though . . .
his faith is weak,
his fears are many,
his corruptions are strong,
his troubles are great, and
his temptations are sore–
is the object of Jehovah’s delight![7]

Today began 40 days of Hope! Throughout San Diego county folks are praying and worshiping our God! Awesome! This day obviously corresponds with Ash Wednesday and the 40 days of Lent. Throughout this time and beyond we are excited about Christians praying. Brothers and Sisters, the Body of Christ gathering together to worship and pray for a united church! Moreover, this is a time for intimacy with God to recognize my sinfulness, my need to repent, and recognize afresh the forgiveness that comes from our holy God in Jesus Christ alone. Humble before the throne, we pray.

I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
And in my griefs with me He will blend.

Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
He all my cares and sorrows will share,

O how the world to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus; He will enable
Over the world the vic’try to win

Abundant Grace!

Your brother In Christ,

Randall:).
