Encouragement and Prayer:). July 29, 2014

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming
For the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare

Brothers and Sisters,

I love the encouraging nature of this song by Matt and Beth Redman. I sat down tonight to seek our God and be filled, pray, and seek more and more God through Scripture, worship music, relying on God to help me hold on…longing for that glorious light beyond all compare. An insatiable hunger and thirst to experience supernatural power! In Christ, I am compelled by the Spirit to encourage YOU! Persevere in our shared Faith and know our Gracious God will never let you go! Let’s cry out together with the psalmist David:

“I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:1-3.

Glorify the Lord with me! Let us exalt His Name together, together, together! This type of supernatural behavior is healing to your mind, body, soul and spirit… your whole being created for fellowship with God individually AND collectively with others In Christ. Through relationships we demonstrate the love of God to each other, overflowing, serving, caring, listening, and many times just being. In Christ, You matter to the health of the Body of Christ, really! That is how God designed it! Moreover, every week I ask you to pray pray pray for those throughout Alpine and the surrounding communities, even those in our churches, we cry out to our Merciful God to quicken the spiritually dead among us.

Know this, we will be moving in response to unceasing prayers. As we practically reach out to our communities, I pray there is an obvious attraction to the love of God through us. Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. BY THIS all men will know that you are my disciples, IF you love one another.” John 13:34

A mark of our brotherhood: an expression for men and women defined by an intimate relational concern and love for one another because of Christ’s love for us. It is real, not just sentimental words, because of our supernatural position In Christ:). Powerful! Exciting! Motivating!

Our brother Bob H. wrote, “The Spirit of the Living God, working within us, also arouses us to pray.” He asked, “Have you ever felt that you just had to pray, that you just had to get away somewhere and have a few moments of quiet?” “…Those who have these longings and yearnings, simply for the presence of God, to relax once more in the arms of his unfailing love, can know by them that we are children of God.”

I pray you have many many “few moments of quiet” with our merciful, gracious, renewing, empowering, loving, and compassionate God. May your unceasing prayers for our local churches: the leadership to the servants preparing and cleaning week after week, Behold: Alpine Youth Center: our brother Joseph and his family, residents of Alpine and the surrounding communities, Band of Brothers, etc., be before the throne with confidence! May God alone be glorified through our service empowered by Him. IN HIM we live to know Him better and invite many to know him as Savior as well! Brother, sister… be strengthened through your troubles I pray… let us know how we can pray for you.

And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful and HE will do it. [!]:). I Thes 5:16-24
